Après la condamnation de près d’un demi milliard d’euros en mars 2004, la Commission européenne a infligé à Microsoft une autre amende record de 280,5 millions d’euros. Selon la Commission, cette nouvelle amende devrait amener Microsoft à se conformer à la décision de 2004, favorisant la concurrence entre les éditeurs de logiciels au profit des consommateurs.
